I am excited about the new Digg. They seem to have done a lot of things exactly right.
The old content is still there, same as before, except possibly easier to access.
Everything seems snappy and fast.
My News is great.
Importing people to follow was extremely easy and well done. (from three sources, Google, Twitter, and Facebook)
My only thought is that I wish there were a 'list' feature where you could separate out those that you want to follow, but do not 'know' (Mashable, Ars Technica, Leo Laporte, etc) and people who you ACTUALLY know. In addition, I now wish more people were on Digg. It would become much more useful if there were more of my 'normal' friends and not just nerds.
